Eagle Helps Rima Meet
Auto Industry Quality, Timing and Cost Requirements

Established in 1955, Michigan-based RIMA Manufacturing Co. grew up

special challenge, according to Ryder: "RIMA makes many
similar-looking parts. Prior to implementing RF Express for QAD MFG/PRO,
parts got mixed up and employees had to hand sort them before shipment,
inevitably causing delays." RIMA’s manufacturing process uses
precision machines to turn bars of steel into 200 different components,
all of which measure between one-fourth inch and two inches.

barcode system allows RIMA to create labels for each pan of parts, which
provides better visual identification. In addition, Eagle's automated data
collection technology identifies individual part locations within the
manufacturing process," says Bill Paone, executive vice president of

Such
streamlined processes have also reduced the number of steps involved with
shipping as scanning technology and barcode labeling eliminated dock
audits. Ryder estimates a
time saving of one to two hours per day.
