Connectivity Is Lost

manufacturers lose several production days a year to breakdowns in WAN
connectivity, impacting their ability to ship product accurately from
remote plant sites. When
this occurs, some sites work "in the dark," continuing local
operations without network connectivity. This lack of real-time
communication creates significant risk of inaccuracies in labeling, lot
control, containerization and production reporting.

backup license for the local plant production environment (Windows/2000
server or workstation), to be used in conjunction with a redundant version
of the MFG/PRO database and PROGRESS.
This means that multi-site manufacturers can operate without the
risk of shipping incorrect items with incorrect labels, even when the host
database is inaccessible. This enhanced shipping capability also allows
for production reporting using a single scan once the host database is
available.
