Continental Structured Plastics increases operator efficiency with Eagle’s Continuous Transaction Processor

Continental Structured Plastics, a Teijin Group Company, is a leader in the development and manufacturing of lightweight composite components for the automotive and heavy truck industries.  Continental have been using Eagle for many years and recently implemented a new solution from Eagle, the Continuous Transaction Processor (CTP).

With the movement towards new technologies such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0, Eagle have been developing new products to help enable businesses to further automate their systems and reduce human interaction, and as such save time and improve accuracy.

The CTP solution enables customers to reduce operator input.  The solution enables real time inventory and production posting to Eagle/QAD for shop floor/process equipment data.   The CTP currently includes a library of 14 of the most popular inventory/production reporting transactions that manufacturers need to automate.  With CTP, customers get the best of Eagle’s highly configurable, real time transaction updating and label generation with data sent directly by shop floor equipment.

During the end of 2016 Continental Structured Plastics implemented the CTP at two production sites, using it on production lines to backflush, create containers and print container labels.  There are plans to expand the use of the functionality and implement at a further six sites.  Please find the full case study here: Eagle CS Plastics Case Study 2017
